Well,
I enrolled and ended up going to the Berklee College of Music
10 years later then I thought I was going to go. I began playing
in a ton of musical situations and working a lot. School was great
for me at the time and exposed me to many musical scenarios. It
got me out of my little box I was in and opened up my mind. I
was working in great groups at the time both commercial and original.
Bands like the ED Peters Orchestra, Myanna (Smooth Jazz Artist),
Brian Walkley, Sal DiFusco/Jon Damian Duo, Surrender Dorothy (Original
Rock group), Stardust, the Radicals (Original Pop/Rock group with
shows in Major cities in US and Paris), Relentless, Wired (Jeff
Beck Tribute band) Heart and Fire (Original Latin Jazz group with
Russian Tour), Scream Her (Original Heavy Rock group).
I did some wonderful shows with some great musicians including
"Speech" (from the Grammy Award winning group Arrested
Development) at the Orpheum Theater in Boston, Susan Tedeski (Grammy
nominated singer/songwriter), Terri-Lynn Carrington (in a concert
at the Wang Center in Boston for the 1993 Boston Music Awards)
Layla Hathaway, Peter Erskine (Drummer for Weather Report in a
concert at the Berklee Performance Center), Gary Burton (Also
at the BPC), Paquito D'Riviera and many others. I graduated Berklee
College of Music in 1993 with a 4-year Diploma in Jazz Composition.
It was such a great experience with all that I learned and all
the performances I was able to be a part of including Singer Showcases,
Commencement Concerts, Faculty and Student Recitals.
After graduating, I excepted a position in a World Wide
Ministry in the ARTS/MEDIA Division. We organized concerts, Open
Mike Jam Sessions and the music for international conferences
all over the World. I traveled to countries including France,
Hungary , Albania and the Philippines performing original music
for groups of thousands. We had great performances in major US
venues including, the Boston Garden, the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles,
and venues in Atlanta and New York.
